Tabitha was found a few months ago, late at night in distress in a lady's garden and it was obvious her retinas were detached.
No owner has come forward & no microchip.
She has been diagnosed with high blood pressure, and it's thought this has suddenly affected her eyes when she has been out one night. She is only thought to be 4-5 yrs old.
She is blind, but finds her way around really well and is very friendly. She loves her food, and due to her not being as active as other cats, she will be prone to putting on weight.
She has been in a foster home who have a persian cat, but they did not get on - she needs to be an only pet, and would be best where there are no young children.
Due to her high blood pressure, she is on 2 tablets, once a day. This will cost approximately £30 per month.
She is currently at Westgate Ark Cat Homing Centre, Newcastle. If anyone is interested please ring 0191 2739555 or email admin@westgateark.org.uk

Poor little girl! I do hope she get a lovely home soon.

What a gorgeous girl and jope she gets a home soon

She actually has a couple of home offers now! :wow:
Had a terrible trip to the vets with her today..... She wouldn't take her meds before she went, was crying in the car, messed in the carrier, wouldn't let the vet take her blood pressure, I asked the vet to feel her bladder as there have been concerns about her urinating - she was having none of it & bit me (not very hard thank goodness!)
She is one feisty young lady!

Oh Emma. I hope that bite hasn't become infected. Ouch!
But very glad to hear Tabitha has a couple of offers in terms of a home, and hoping that one of them will be absolutely perfect for her. She's been through the mill, bless her.

Hope I'm not jinxing this, but she is all set to go to a quiet home with an 'older' couple :wow: She does seem to sniff out her 'palatable' meds in anything after a while which they are aware of and their son works with the guy who was fostering her.
So hopefully sorted!

Got everything crossed this comes off successfully Emma. :)
