Actually, they aren't too bad - or at least Squeak isn't. Bubble is still climbing the walls but has been here a day less than Squeak.  :tired: Where they've come from they've never seen a dog, no one has chased them or been rotten to them and the only traffic are the resident's cars which come along about 5 times a day doing 12mph max speed. So not much for them to have been afraid of.  :sneaky: They were remarkably clean and flea free too!  :shify: You might say, a posher kind of feral.

A few days ago we got a call from a very select private estate on the fridge of the famous Royal St. George golf course here in Sandwich. There are only around 20 houses in this area and all of them are worth something in the region of £1m. The estate has the golf course on one side and acres of RSPB land on the other. Miles from the nearest other houses.  :shify:

The lady that called us said a young black puss had been raising 2 kittens in her huge garden. Really cannot understand how she got there but can only think she's been dumped out of a car.  :shy: Puss seemed friendly and is trying to move in, but the lady has an elderly mother with breathing problems so puss can't come in. She'd been caring for puss and the kittens and had given them her shed, but she doesn't want mum to have any more kittens and she didn't know what to do with the 2 already here. There's also a long range ginger tom that comes round who is certainly the dad.

We lent the lady a trap and she did all the running around. She paid for the spay herself, which was not cheap as mum was indeed preggers again so it cost £85!  She's also going to try to catch the tom when he comes back.  :sneaky:

The kittens, who she named Bubble and Squeak, have come to me for a touch of the old taming voo-doo.  :evillaugh:
