Been to my vets today and they are caring for two lovely seven year old girls called Ruby and Tink. Ruby (I'm fairly sure) is the more confident of the two and Tink is a little more reserved.
Both seem very sweet girls and were left there by their owner after they moved to a property that won't allow pets. :tired:
If you can help, please PM me. These girls have already been there a while, but none of the staff can take on any more and they've had no luck asking around.
Pictures to follow.

Poor souls, shall I pop this in the urgent section JS?
-
Depends. If you mean are they under threat of PTS, I'm reassured the answer is no. (I asked the VN.) But it would be nice to see these girls out of a vet pen and in a home for Christmas.
-
Hi JS, I've moved them over because, as they really don't want to be stuck in a vets. Best of luck for them both finding a new home soon.
-
Thanks Janey. :)

Photos of the lovely ladies....
-
:Luv: aww aren't they just gorgeous, at least they are together bless them.
-
They are gorgeous. And still looking.
-
No luck so far.
-
Still looking.

:( Hope they aren't waiting much longer, are they on a waiting list to go in rescue do you know?
-
I don't think so. The rescues around here are so full that it'll take forever to get them into rescue......
-
i've just contacted vets on behalf of our rescue to offer help with advertising these two and offer foster care until a home is found. they tell me they want neither. don't want them advertising they'll just keep asking people, dont' want foster care - just like having them there.
think that means they can come out of the urgent section .... ?
-
How odd. OK, I'll move it - thanks for trying!
-
it is a bit odd ... and rather annoying since i'd sorted out foster place and put basic info on our website already. anyway its off the website now since they don't want it - and we have space for other cats who need it instead.
-
I am sorry. I have no idea why they'd turn down that offer - my VN friend is back at work on Tuesday after her maternity leave and is on the case. ;) She thinks they may have caved and let Ruby and Tink stay in the on call flat that the younger vets use above the surgery. If that's the case, then they're kind of in a foster home already.
-
that would make sense and be good if they're in the flat. hate to think of them in a cage all this time.
-
Ditto. I was under the impression that was where they were until a home was found but if the VN's right then I'm quite happy. Ruby and Tink seemed happy with predominantly each other for company so the vets staying over when they do would just be an added bonus!
-
Fingers crossed you get some interest in these two next, they are a gorgeous pair :)
-
Agreed. :)
-
Got a message from my VN friend today letting me know these girls went to a loving new home with a nice couple today. :)
-
;D I'm so pleased, great news!
Will move this now :)
