Title: Lois` wobbly kittens are getting bigger!
Post by: LilyandGary on September 25, 2011, 15:24:05 PM
Thought I would update you all on the progress of Lottie and William.

Lottie is doing very well now she is almost 8 weeks old. She holds her head up much more and can focus her eyes better. Being wobbly does not stop her climbing, eating and causing chaos. Had a great time at work last week being admired and cuddled by strapping great big lads (who do have a soft side it seems  )

William`s wobbling seems almost un-noticable unless you look hard for it. He`s such a little star too!

One the homing front - Lulu and Womble, their siblings are reserved and will be heading off for a new home as soon as they are 1st vaccinated and chipped in 2 weeks time.

Enjoy!

Judith is responsible for naming Womble, she is much better at these things!

Lulu and Womble now have 4 new friends to play with who are about 10 days older. Its been hectic to have 8 babies here (with a decorator too!) but it has meant that Lottie and William have been able to progress at their natural rate.

As I type this, Lulu is playing on the stairs with new boy Orio, and Womble is doing his own thing, as usual!

These are the newbies, abandoned at the vets 3 weeks ago. Two of them were not even weaned properly and luckily Lois has stepped in. She really is a super mum!

We saw the vet-man this week who thought we were doing very well!  :Luv:

Womble and Lulu are having great fun playing with our new friends, and she-who-provides-the-food is going to vet their new home today and meet the dog. She says they might be able to move next weekend.

The vet-man did ask what would happen to us. Food-provider said we can stay here for the duration, as we seem to be doing very well and even the mad-dog doesnt scare us. I think she is fond of us on the qt.

Love to all our fans, Lottie and William.  :Luv2:

We saw the vet-woman today who stuck a needle in us. We were very brave and didnt cry, William found it all a bit much and had to have a quick sleep in the car.

Lottie decided to try to bite the fingers of the chauffer  :naughty: in the waiting room, then went all cute and purred for the first time when she was picked up for a cuddle.  :Luv2:What a cutie she is proving to be. She had a walk around the vet`s room to show them how good she was at evading capture, and lots of people came in to admire her. Just have to watch that all this attention doesnt go to her head.

Apparently we are getting a chip fitted next, does it come with salt and vinegar we ask?

We are still here, looking for our special forever-home. :(

Mum says Lottie has grown into such a little stunner, if a little cheeky. Last time she went to see the vet-man she threw a strop in the carrier when she had to wait. Since the waiting room was empty she just had to come out and meet the staff, and then perched on Mum`s shoulder like a parrot, watching the world go by! ;D Lottie also likes to share the dog`s dinner (shame the dog doesnt!)

William is now a very handsome boy, with a big fat face and thick tail. Mum says if he was a dog he would make a stunning Labrador.

emmmy_lou, Lottie just has trouble written all over that cute litte face

Just waiting for her to discover the cat flap! She is already trying to escape out of the door everytime I open it, which is very frequently in this house with the dog and other stuff.

Liz, they are both welcome to stay with me for as long as it takes!

Lottie has got her paws firmly under the table. She loves the dog for some reason and spends ages sniffing her feet!  My own cats enjoy her company too. William is very happy to be around them too, and loves playing with other cats and the toys we have scattered around the house.

Lottie has trouble eating different foods to the one she was weaned onto, so she is fed seperately from all the others at the mo. We have had episodes of litter issues too, so for the meantime Angie, Judith, Bren and I have decided she is on "hold" until this is under control. Since Lottie is so settled it is not a problem as she is in a good routine with me and very confident and settled into her routine. Sadly I just cannot commit financially at the mo to the medical needs of a 7th cat, along with a big dog and 10 chickens. It would really put an end to my fostering as this is a small house!

Hey Lily ive just been reading through your threads on these two, they sound and look adorable. My name is Karl and i have recently lost my cat and dear friend (Tipsy) to an untreatable blood clot, unfortunately we had no other option than to have him put to sleep at 4 and a half years old. He suffered from Cerrebela hypoplasia and was also a very wobbly kitty. He was my baby and it has been so hard adjusting not having his character around the house anymore. Are home is fully prepped for kittens of Lottie and Williams condition with us having had a special needs cat. I would do anything to have tipsy back but unfortunately that isnt how life works. So i have decided that i would like to rehome a cat of a similar dissability just with me being very aware of what it takes to care for one, i would love to rehome any cat in need but out of respect for the lovely cat i had to let go of, i would love to provide a home for cats suffering from the same or a similar dissability. I would love to provide a home for these two if they havnt already found a home to go to ;) i live in Cheshire and look fwd to seeing if we can sort something out. :)

 :welcome: to Purrs Karl

Very sorry to hear about Tipsy  Really hope this works out for you and you are soon proud owner of two more 'wobblies' to try and help heal the pain of losing Tipsy
