Do you think i'm just being hopeful thinking he might return seeing as its been a week now? Ugh, I feel like such a bad owner. =(

We know of many cats who've returned home safely after much longer than that: I myself reunited a cat and her owners after she'd been missing for three months and one of the patients at my vets' went AWOL for 18 months but turned up safe and sound.

Never give up hope.

Thank you every one!

I've had a phone call very early this morning from a women that suspects she has seen him in her garden following her female cat. She also told me that her neighbour has two young female cats as well. She was very nice and let me know that if she could catch him she would and that she would try and see if it was definitely him, as he did have a collar on. I'm going to go back round there tomorrow to have a look around the garden. This has made me a little more confident that he's okay.

I also just, literally 10 minutes ago, gave my local milkman a description, name and contact number and he said he would keep his eyes peeled at all times. Luckily he's an avid cat lover so that really helps as well and makes me feel loads better.

I'm suspecting that he has moved into someones house without them knowing and is stealing their cats food, because I think that I would have seen him. And where my neighbourhood knows each other all so well I know i'd have been called if anyone had seen or heard anything about a cat being hit by a car so I think he's just wandered off... Hopefully!

Please keep sending your good vibes, I just want him to come home... =(

Thanks again everyone,

Fi, x

I'm also sorry to welcome you to Purrs under such circumstances, Fiona, and hope Hendrix comes strolling back soon.  Do try those tips that Janue posted - they have helped many a cat find his way home.

By the way, I modified your email address so that it can be read by humans but not by bots  Hug

Lost - Big black cat, male, very friendly, will respond to the name of Jimmy, or Hendrix. Went missing thursday night, hasn't been home since, along Wendan Road, Newbury, Berkshire.

He's all black, wearing a black collor with diamonds on, has a contact number on. If you do see him and can get hold of him, please do and get in contact as soon as possible as I miss him so much and am very worried.

Please, even if you think you might have seen him in your garden or around, please call or e-mail.

fiona_951 [at] hotmail.com

Thank you.
