Just writing the instructions for the Purrs LOLCAT Show 2009 and pictures and captions will be able to be emailed to me from 1 May

Closing date for pics will be 17 May and Show will start on 1 June, ending on 21 June.

All instructions with classes should be published by the weekend, well maybe over the weekend LOL.......cat

The pictures dont have to be funny, its the captions that do LOL

I think thats where we have gone wrong in the past, the picture can be fairly ordinary but its the caption that makes it hilarious

This year our annual Cat Show will be all LOLcats

Now there is a very good reason for this apart from them being very funny, oh yes a great reason

and Tan and I have discussed this many times. We feel that some do not like to enter the Cat Show cos when their cat is not voted the Top Cat, they get hurt

, although we all know that every cat is just gorgeous and the picture is just a snap of a moment.

Sooooooooo we thought that if we made a LOLcat Show this year, its not just the cat being judged but also the caption and therefore if your cat does not win , you know its your bloomin fault for not having the greatest caption

Now of course this has caused contraversy ........doesnt everything

.............and some have said that they are no good at captions, so a novel.......yes I think its novel

idea has been thought of to try and help these captionless people

This year the LOLcat Show is starting early to allow the above peeps to get some captions for their entries but of course there is no gain without pain

and if you would like Purrs members to offer suggestions of captions for your purrrrfect puss it will cost you £1 per picture to get said suggestions. You are then free ........yes freeeeeeeeeeeeee

to choose from the offerings that have been given, or make up your own bloomin caption

The Cat Show will commence sometime in May and end Midsummer in June, so now is the time to dig out the pictures and start coughing up if you want some captions. I will start a thread in General Cat Chat where you can put your pictures but you must first donate the appropriate amount to the Purrs Rescue Fund through the donate button at the bottom of every screen

Now Tan doesnt always have her binoculars on when reading these and its very essential therefore that your donation is marked in uppercase LOLCAT SHOW.......so then Tanni will put these into the appropriate bucket

So here endeth the first instruction for the LOLcat Show 2009

PS.......I am still thinking about categories and they are most likely to be based on the colour of the cats, plus a couple of others not thought of yet

PPS .........It will still be £1 for every actual entry to the LOLcat Show
